Out for a Run

2 / 8 / 192 / 8 / 19

The weather here in South Carolina has taken an unexpected turn this week, teasing us with some warm spring like weather. The crisp mornings have been optimal spring running weather and my running shoes are calling my name. In a mere four months, summer will be in full force here, and Run Ella Run will have another year under it’s belt.

Four months is plenty of time for 5k training. Dust off those running shoes and take advantage of this beautiful sunshine. Before long it will be a habit you don’t want to live without. I hope to see you out on the trails and roads. I’ll be there, wearing my Run Ella Run shirt and visor. Race day is Saturday, June 1st.

A visit with River Bluff HS

3 / 8 / 18

Towards the end of last year, we were asked to speak to the Seniors at River Bluff High School. We were grateful for the opportunity to speak about our foundation, what we stand for and how we make an impact on the community. We are thankful we have the opportunity to impact these youth to find ways to serve, do good in the world and spread kindness. We all can make a difference. We all can bring happiness to those around us.  Ella’s light continues to shine.

Red Bank Elementary Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

3 / 1 / 173 / 1 / 17

In the spring of 2016, our foundation was able to help Red Bank Elementary install a new playground! We were invited to attend their ribbon cutting ceremony, where we were invited to cut the ribbon. We watched as the happy, excited children swarmed the new playground for the first time. Such a blessing to be part of such a joyous occasion. “Bringing Happiness to Children, One Mile at a Time”

Race Course Now USATF Certified

3 / 19 / 15

This week, our course was officially measured and USATF certified! Why is this important?

“The purpose of the USATF course certification program is to produce road race courses of accurately measured distances.

For any road running performance to be accepted as a record or be nationally ranked, it must be run on a USATF-certified course. In addition, the certification program is very important to the average road racer, as well as those of exceptional speed. Most runners like to compare performances run on different courses, and such comparisons are difficult if course distances are not reliable. No one can truly establish a personal best if the course distance is not accurate.”    source: USATF.org

We love our course and we want to make sure that it is the most efficient and safe course for our runners. We are excited to invite you out again to join us in JUNE for our 4th annual Run Ella Run Memorial 5k. Lace up those shoes and join us race day!
